It's Really Bourbon

My Thoughts

Sweet apples and bourbon, does it get any better than that? These apples are tender, buttery, and taste just like butterscotch candy.

The How To Do It

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into 1/4-inch slices.
  2. Add the butter to a small cast iron skillet and let it melt. Continue to heat the butter until it starts to brown.
  3. Once the butter has browned add the apples and let them start to cook.
  4. After about 5-minutes add teh bourbon and let it cook off the alcohol.
  5. Add the cinnamon and salt.
  6. Continue to cook the apples until they are soft and start to brown slightly. You may need to add some water (about 1/4 cup).
