Brown Butter Clamshell Mushrooms

My Thoughts

These mushrooms are a quick, and make a great side for pork, beef, or just about anything you want to pair them with. They are buttery and crispy around the edges with just a hint of earthiness.

The How To Do It

  1. Wash the mushrooms and pat them dry with a paper towel and cut the base of the mushrooms off. You want just the caps and the stems.
  2. In a small cast iron skillet, melt the butter. When the butter just starts to turn brown, add the mushrooms and quickly toss them in the butter.
  3. Add the granulated garlic, salt and pepper and continue to saute the mushrooms until they start to get crispy around the edges, about 10 minutes.
  4. Put them on the plate and serve. They're that easy!
